James (Mac) Clyde McIlwain, Jr, 76, originally of Elliston, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was born on January 12, 1938 in Wilkinsburg, PA to the late James C. McIlwain, Sr. and Jean Sharp McIlwain. He retired after numerous years as an accountant; working for Greenhill Pork Products in his early years and Southern Printing Company for the remainder of his accounting career. During his time of leisure Mac enjoyed anything that had to do with baseball. He thoroughly enjoyed his time spent as a little league baseball coach in Elliston and was a diehard fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. During the off season he would transition his attention to football as he was also a true fan of the Washington Redskin organization. Family remaining to cherish his life includes his only son, James (Jay) C. McIlwain, III and wife, Cassie; grandchildren, Rhianna, Sara and Alec; and nieces, Karen, Robin and Kimberly McIlwain. A memorial service to honor Macs life will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem with Rev. Tom Clay officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. An online guestbook is available by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.Visitation
