James Patrick "Jimmy" Hicks Jr.

James Patrick Hicks, Jr., 91, of Salem, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, from Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem. He was born on April 5, 1931, in Phoebus, Va., son of the late James Patrick and Dorothy Drexel Trail Hicks. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Fernande Lesage Hicks. Surviving family includes his daughter, Katharine Ann Hicks Ward and his sister, Mary E. Hicks. A social gathering to honor James's life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 2 pm at John M. Oakey & Son funeral home.
