Irvin Wayne Wright Sr.

Irvin Wayne Wright, Sr., 63, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015. He was born in Salem, a son of the late Shafter Johnny and Evelyn G. Wright and had been an area resident all of his life. He was employed as a truck driver for many years with Old Virginia Brick, and enjoyed fishing and horse shows. Most especially, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son Wayne Wright, Jr. his wife Kari and their children, Devin, Teygan, Laikyn, Rylen and Ehren Wright; a daughter, Martina and her children; three brothers, Walter and wife Rhonda, Ralph and Doug Wright; special niece Sally Giggetts and her sons Johnny, Jordan, Anthony and fiance Jaycelle, as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 6PM, Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Pastor Frank Broughman will officiate. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, beginning at 4 PM at the funeral home.
