Ida Lewis Breeding

Ida Lewis Breeding, 92, of Salem, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014. She was born on March 29, 1922, daughter of the late Alfred and Polly Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Amos Breeding, and 20 siblings and half siblings. Mrs. Breeding was a member of Salem Church of Christ. She was devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed gardening and growing vegetables for her family. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Joan; brother, Chester Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, April 7, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 1 p.m in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son funeral home, with Rev. Eric Evans officiating.
