Hope Abner Meador Davis, 86, of Alpharetta, GA, and a former longtime resident of Salem, VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Born in Washington, D.C. on September 24, 1939, she was a graduate of George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA, and Roanoke College. She was an active member of the Delta Gamma sorority, supporting it as an alumnae officer and chapter advisor for many years. She also retired from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Roanoke, VA.

She is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Thomas Ashley Edward Davis, and is survived by her son, Frank B. Meador, III, and wife, Melissa Meffert Meador; daughter, Anne Mercier Meador; two grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Meador and James Christian Meador.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, VA. The family will subsequently host a celebration of life on February 15, 2026, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Hidden Valley Country Club, 2500 Romar Rd, Salem, Va.
