Holly Gay Deal

Holly Gay Deal, 48, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2017. She was born in Roanoke, the daughter of the late Gary Lineberry and Janet Shinault Huff and had been an area resident all of her life. Holly was an authentic people person and was loved by everyone she met. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandfather, Frank Shinault. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Deal; her mother and step-father, Jimmy Poppa Huff; two daughters, Lyndze Thomas and husband Carr, and Anjelica Salinas; a son Chase Casey and wife Jane, three grandchildren, Hayden and Carson Thomas, and Hynessi Casey. Holly is also survived by her grandmother, Mary Shinault Smith; a sister, Kristen Criner and husband Keith, nephews, Benjamin and Caleb Criner; her niece, Marcie Criner, numerous other extended family members, and many, many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. Pastor Jason Cook will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
