Herbert George Allgayer Sr.

Herbert G. Allgayer, Sr., 69, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011. He was born in Pantschowa, Yugoslavia and has been an area resident and US citizen for over 50 years. He was employed as a lock finisher at Medeco Lock Manufacturing for many years prior to retiring and was a long time member of Fort Lewis Christian Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Barbara Kirk Allgayer; a son, Herbert G. Allgayer, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Eagle Rock; three daughters, Teresa Lyon and her husband Robert of Locust Grove, Sylvia Allgayer of Salem, and Marion Janney and her husband Kenneth of Roanoke; three step-children; a sister, Erica Mabry of Salem; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Fort Lewis Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fort Lewis Christian Church, 2931 W.
