Helen Martin Darocha

Mary Helen Martin Darocha, 87, of Salem, died on Monday, November 29, 2010. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur and Octava Martin; husband, Michael Darocha; son, David Martin Darocha; brothers, James and Donald Martin; and sisters, Irene May, Gladys Stump, June Martin, and Margaret Honaker. Her surviving family includes her son, Michael Douglas Darocha; daughter, Patricia Bachman and husband, Sidney; grandson, Aaron Michael Bachman; sisters, Faye Jessee and husband, Arnold, and Charlene Hause and husband, Don; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Mary Sizemore and Mildred Morris. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem with a funeral service beginning at 5 p.m. The Rev. Tom Clay will officiate.
