Hazel Lou Jayne

Hazel D. Jayne, 78, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2015. She was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church in Salem. Preceding her in death were her parents, Roby and Lillian Daugherty; brothers, Clayton, Coy, Dale, and David Daugherty; and sisters, Murell Bousman, Lillian Pruett, and Edna Wilson. Her surviving family includes her daughter, Ava Bayne and her husband, H.B.; dear great-granddaughter, Brianna Bayne; brothers, Earl Daugherty and George Daugherty (Margaret); special nieces, Sharon Blankenship, Joann Wisecarver, and Donna Hartman; and numerous grandchildren, other great-grandchildren, and other nieces and nephews. A special thanks is extended to the Rehab Center at Richfield for its care and compassion. A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Locust Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Ben Lockhart officiating.
