Harve Edward Duncan

Harve Edward Duncan, 71, of Salem, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Ruth Duncan; and brothers, Buddy Duncan and Arlan Duncan. Harve was an avid fisherman and Notre Dame fan. He also loved old blue grass music. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 46 years, Kathy Duncan; children, Sarah Davidson and her significant other, Kevin Boyd, Beth and Frank Unger, and Emily Duncan; grandchildren, Logan Shoup (LT), Bailey Doane, Andrew Doane, Maggie Farris, Emma Unger, and Payton Unger; siblings, Charles Duncan, Gary Duncan, Shirley Henderson, and James Duncan; mother-in-law, Ella Mae Elmore; sisters-in-law, Lois Sweat and Becky and Tom Allison; special friends, Stanley and Ralph; furry friend, Blue; and numerous friends and family. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4, 2015 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Springs. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to interment.
