Harold Dempsey Mcdaniel Sr.

Harold Dempsey McDaniel, Sr., 67, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20, 2014. He loved his friends and family, and especially his grandkids. Harold also loved his Lord, and enjoyed singing His praises. His surviving family includes his wife, Deborah D. McDaniel; children, Harold McDaniel, Jr., David McDaniel, Jeffrey McDaniel (Carolyn), Roger McDaniel (Tammy), and Pamela Bryant (Martin); grandchildren, Autumn, Matthew, David, Brooke, Brittney, Eden, Chase, and Mitchel; siblings, Mary Isabelle Lucado and Richard McDaniel; and many other family members. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. There will also be an hour of visitation on Saturday, March 22, 2014 beginning at 10 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. A funeral service will then begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Milton Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke.
