Gloria Rita Taylor

Gloria Rita Taylor, 82, of Roanoke County, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 14, 2014. She was an accomplished seamstress and cook, and devoted much of her life taking care of her family and friends. She will be remembered throughout the community as a wonderful mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin L. Taylor, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Butch, Robert, Phillip and Randy and their families, including many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff of Snyders Nursing Home for the love and care shown to Mrs. Taylor during her time there. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, February 18, 2014 in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
