Gladys Maie St.Clair Williams

Gladys Maie St.Clair Williams, 88, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was a retired supervisor at the VA Medical Center in Salem after over 30 years of service, and also spent time volunteering at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center. Preceding her in death were her parents, Lowry Thomas and Alice Maie St.Clair; husband, Mitchell McKee Williams; son, Larry Williams; and sister, Reva Hicks. Her surviving family includes her grandson, Marc Williams; nieces, Beverly Sarver, Donna Crawley, and Cathy Hicks; and special friends, Jimmy and Joy Foutz, and Evelyn Minnix. A period of visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. The Rev. Claude Carter will officiate.
