Gilda Gray Tedder

Gilda G. Hester Tedder (Nanny), 74, of Salem, Va., formerly of Winston Salem, NC, passed away suddenly and went to be with her heavenly family on January 11, 2015. She was born on February 28, 1939 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Henry A. and Perry W. Hester. Following her attendance at Gray High School, mom was a loving caregiver for numerous years employed as a CNA. She was an amazing woman of great passion and had a tremendous love for her family! Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her children, Kathy Gentry, of Hardy, Va., Lance Ball, also of Hardy, and Allyn Dudley, of Winston Salem, NC; grandchildren, Christy Hottinger (Bryan), Elizabeth Sapp and fianc Patrick, Jason Ball (Taryn), Kayla Woolman (Wade), and Alana Underwood (Jon) all of Winston Salem, NC; Amber Bolejack (Clay), of Rural Hall, NC, and Shane Manring, of Kernersville, NC; great-grandchildren, Madison Underwood, Will Underwood, Caly Bolejack, Caydence Bolejack, Marley Woolman and Travis Harper; nieces, Cindi Dingler, of TN, Connie Clifton, of NC, and Allison Johnson, of GA; nephew, Jeff Hester, of NC; brother-in-law, John Manuel, of NC and sister-in-law, Jane Hester, of NC. Our family would like to thank everyone whom shared their love with mom! A memorial service to honor moms life will be conducted on Friday, January 16, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Immanuel New Eden Moravian Church, 3680 Old Lexington Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27101.
