Geraldine Moore Conner

Geraldine Jeri Moore Conner, 81, of Salem, VA passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leslie Dudley Conner; and her son, Michael Mike Lee Conner. She enjoyed life by being interested in many things, painting, baking and floral arranging. She sold her baked goods at the Salem Farmers Market for many years. She sold Avon and was in the presidents club and worked at Marezels Flowers, but mostly enjoyed being with her children. Those left to remember her are her children, Jerry Conner and wife, Joyce, Aileen Moore and husband, Kelley, Les Conner and wife, Lea Ann and Lisa Newman and husband, Rev. Danny Newman; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Danny Newman and Rev. Jim Walls officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
