Geneva Christina Martin Thompson, "Genny" passed away on April 5, 2025 in Wilmington, North Carolina at age 100. She was born on October 18, 1924, in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of the late Ezra Granville Martin & Roxie Emma Conner Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edward Thompson.
Genny lived a fulfilling life, actively engaging in bridge and garden clubs, delighting in cooking and sharing hearty family meals, hosting joyful gatherings, and exploring the world through travel.
Genny is survived by her three children, Kathy Collins, Alan Thompson, and Steve Thompson; three grandchildren, Christina Collins, James Thompson, and Nicholas Thompson; and her great-grandchildren.
Burial Service at Sherwood Memorial Park, Saturday, April 12'th at 2 p.m. in Salem, Virginia
