Gates Brown 'G.B.' Gibson

G. B. Gibson Gates Brown G.B. Gibson, 73, of New Castle, and formerly of Salem, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born June 9, 1945, the son of the late Gates Brown Gibson and Pauline Hodges Allen, and was also preceded in death by a brother, John Gibson, and a sister, Deanna Kay Gibson. G.B. was for many years a resident of Salem, where he was a computer service technician for Hewlett-Packard, and then was self-employed in electronics repair. Upon retirement, he resided in New Castle. He is survived by his daughter, Genie Gibson Butler and husband David of Salem; a son, Mark Brian Gibson of Lynchburg; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Elaine Bost of Salem. The family wishes to express their appreciation and deep gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Richfield Living Center and Amedisys Hospice for their many kindnesses and the loving care extended. In keeping with Mr. Gibsons wishes, services will be private. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
