Gary Lee Richards

Gary Lee Richards, 63, of Salem, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ammon M. Richards and Christine Peters Richards. Gary was the owner of Richards Automotive Alignment. He had a lifelong passion for stock car and drag racing. He was an extremely gifted mechanic, meticulous in his skill when it came to building and working on cars. Though cars were his passion, he also enjoyed golfing and bowling. Family left to cherish his memory include his wife Kim; daughter, Alicia Richards Jones and her husband Greg; son, Christopher D. Murphy; sister, Connie Richards; grandchildren, Tyler, Kylie, Kiersten (Leroy), and Jordan; nephew, Brandon Johnson; and so many close friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service to celebrate Garys life will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
