Garry Duane Patterson

Garry D. Patterson, 26, of Elliston, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 17, 2016. Garry was preceded in death by his son, Noah Patterson; brother, Joshua Patterson; and paternal grandfather, Garry Dwight Walk. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Anita McGuire; father, David Walk and wife, Chrissy; fiance, Desiree Cragett; son, Carter Patterson; sister, Nichole Fisher; step-siblings, Joey Pettry and Samantha Dickerson; maternal grandparents, Wanda and Barry Echols; paternal grandmother, Vicky Sledd; aunts, Vicky Epperly and Cheryl Kitts and husband, Tony; uncle, Bruce King; prospective in-laws, Mark and Andrea Cragetts; and numerous nieces and nephews. A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the funeral home with an interment following at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem.
