Freda Maria Tolley

Mrs. Freda M. Williams Tolley, 86, of Salem, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018. Mrs. Tolley was born November 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Alfred Gearheart and Okie Horsley Gearheart. She was retired from the Maid Bess Corporation and she also did upholstery work from home. Freda would do anything for anyone. She also loved her dog, Brutus. In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Williams; daughter, Janet Martin; and brother, Aubrey Gearheart. Surviving are her sons, Mike Williams and wife, Richie; Denny Williams and wife, Connie; daughters, Melinda Crigger, and Lisa Williams; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Purdy; beloved dog, Brutus and beloved grand dog, Olive. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem, with her son, Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
