Frank Wayne Peregoy, 64 of Roanoke, formerly of Salem, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was born on March 18, 1948 in Akron, OH to the late George S. and Theodosia Perdue Peregoy. Mr. Peregoy was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. After discharging from the Navy, he started his longtime employment endeavor with the United States Postal Service in Roanoke, where he recently retired after many years of service. He enjoyed shooting pool and had a deep appreciation of automobiles, as he owned numerous within his lifetime. In addition to his parents, his nephew, Larion Gopadze, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Marlea Lineberry; brother, Randy Peregoy and his wife, Sharon; sister, Linda Cissy Holton; nephews, Clint, Clay and Cody Peregoy; nieces, Tonya Murray, Ivy Holton and Mary Theil Holton. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son funeral home in Salem. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at the Blue Ridge Memorial Park, in Roanoke, where Military rights will be conducted.
