Frank Hutchison Jr.

Frank Hutchison, Jr., 81, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. He was very meek and had a sweet, sweet spirit. He was very loved by his family and all who knew him. His hobbies included gardening and fishing. He loved spending time with his family who already miss his quiet sweetness. They were so blessed by him. Preceding him in death was his father, Frank Hutchison, Sr.; mother, Gaye Hutchison Howard; sisters, Mabel Brizendine, Marie Fleet, Margaret Trout, and Shirley Duncan; and brother, Ralph Hutchison. His surviving family includes his wife of 58 years, Frances Hutchison; son, Rick Hutchison and wife, Sue; granddaughter, Mandy Hartman and husband, Jason; siblings, Barbara Agnor and husband, Delton, and Stella Collins; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. A period of visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. Pastor Delton Agnor and Mr. Doug Sweeney will officiate. The family would like to thank Jeff and Katie in the MICU at Lewis-Gale Medical Center as well as the special friends who came to visit Frank.
