Frank Wayne Hodges

Frank Wayne Hodges, 62, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 17, 2012. He was employed with the City of Salem for 40 years as a water department supervisor. In his spare time, he enjoyed his membership with the Salem Moose Lodge as well as playing golf. Frank was a family man who adored his grandkids, was compassionate with everyone he knew, and loved the Lord. Preceding him in death were his parents, Olin and Louise Harrison; his first wife, Linda Hodges; and a brother, Sam Hodges. His surviving family includes his second wife, Paula Hodges; children, Rusty Hodges and wife, Kim, and Lisa Quesenberry and husband, Jerry; stepdaughters, Heather Riddle and Amanda Bradney and husband, George; sisters, Diane Wright, Nancy Carroll, and Janet Furrow; grandchildren, Justin, Chris, Jariel, and James; stepgrandchildren, Aiden, Sadie, and Lukas; great-grandchild, Patrick; and many other family members. A special thanks is extended to all of the doctors and nurses of the MICU at Lewis-Gale Medical Center as well as to the many family members and friends for their wonderful support and care. A period of visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Rev. Leonard Southern and Rev. Sam Belisle will officiate.
