Frank Watson Greenway

Frank Watson Greenway, 83, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

For many years, Frank enjoyed working as a custodian at Masons Cove Elementary School. His hobbies included fishing, working in his garden, and riding his John Deere tractor. He loved horses, animals, children, and the Lord, and firmly believed that God never fails.

Preceding him in death were his grandmother, India Fisher; parents, Arthur Herman and Mary Fisher Greenway; late wife, Cecilia Greenway; 4 brothers; and a baby sister.

His surviving family includes his loving wife, Gale Greenway; children, Frances Foster and husband, George, Tammy Bowen and husband, Hank, Tracy Flint and husband, Tim, Robbie Bailey and wife, Caren, Marlene Wertz, and Faith Bailey; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Special appreciation is extended to CenterWell Home Health for their care and compassion.

Family members and friends will celebrate Frank's life on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a service at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Va. Pastor Ken Nienke will officiate.
