Frances Weeks

Frances Linda Weeks, of Salem, Va., peacefully pass away at South Roanoke Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Frances worked in her mother's nursing home. She was a devoted wife and mom. She was a fun fun person! She loved to entertain friends and family at her home and the beautiful swimming pool she had. She loved going to Smith Mountain Lake with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph Noel and Louise Ball Noel; twin brother, Frankie Noel; two sons, David and Dale Weeks; granddaughter, Chelsa Hale; three sisters, Geraldine Slusher, twin sisters: Zola Brown and Lola Collins; brother, William "Billy" Weeks; and her devoted husband and love of her life, Palmer Weeks her bud of 46 years; best friends, Betty and Kenneth Blount; and her most favorite dog, Sir Cedric, and rowdy cat.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Amber Weeks; nieces, Teresa Lynch, Louise Novia, and a host of other nephews, nieces, and great-grandchildren; and her closest friends, Chuck and Cathy Fischer.

A funeral Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Pastor Danny Poff officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.

Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Salem Rescue Squad in her honor.
