Frances Marie Grubb

Frances M. Grubb, age 90, of Salem, Va. passed away peacefully on Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born on Saturday, December 24, 1927 to the late Griffin Fuqua and Pauline Fuqua Ridgeway. Frances worked at Kmart in Salem until she was 82, and was a resident at Fairington Apartments. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Wayne H. Grubb; brother, Morris P. Fuqua. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Pat Walters and husband, John; stepson, Steve Grubb and wife, Naomi; stepdaughter, Annette Grubb Gill, and numerous friends. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
