Floyd Anthony Tony Williams, 61, of Salem, VA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. He was born November 29, 1951 in Roanoke, son of Murlene Teresa Harris Williams and the late Lester Leroy Williams. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Claude Ronald "Ronnie" Williams. Tony was a well known and successful businessman in the Roanoke Valley. He founded and co-founded three businesses with his wife, Sue in the valley. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salem and held many positions in the church. Tony was an accomplished and gifted musician and publisher and was a member of the American Society of Composers Artists and Performers. He was a member of the Showtimers Community Theatre. In addition to his mother, Murlene Williams, Tony is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Susan Deyerle Woodlief Williams; daughter, Chastity Lynn Williams McMillion and husband, Stan; sons, Sidney Woodlief Sid Williams and Aaron Woodward Williams and wife, Rebecca; sister, Marie Williams Lee; grandchildren, Morgan Alexis McMillion, Taylor Grace McMillion and Izabella Dawn Williams; niece, Tara Lee; and many loving friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, August 24, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 6311 Wayburn Drive, Salem with Charley Turner, First Counselor of the Salem Ward Bishopric, President Kevin Bohon and President Noah McDaniel officiating. Internment will follow at East Hill Cemetery, Salem. The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home, Salem. The Williams family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the loving care given to Tony. John M.
