Evelyn Gay Hypes Wilburn

Evelyn Hypes Wilburn, 91 of Roanoke, Va went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Born Saturday, April 1, 1933, to the late Aina Guy Hypes and Virginia Cleo Grubb Hypes.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Lacy Wilburn; sisters, Mildred Jean Hypes and Linda Sue Hypes; brothers, Billy Lee Hypes and Bobby Lewis Hypes; brother-in-law, Ray Worrell; niece Ronna Worrell; stepsons, Butch Wilburn and Donnie Wilburn.
Those left to cherish Evelyn's memory include her son, Guy Wilburn; grandchildren, Bailey Wilburn and Morgan Wilburn; and sister Margaret Arlene Worrell.
A period of visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Due to inclement weather, the graveside service will be conducted at the Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Brian Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at the Grubb Family Cemetery, Roanoke, Va.
