Eva Adeline Farmer, 88, of Roanoke and formerly of Grundy, VA, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was born on April 12, 1925 to the late Mosby Thomas and Minnie Clay Farmer in McDowell Co, WV. Eva was employed as a secretary with the Co-operative Extension Service in Grundy, VA for many years prior to retiring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Russell Farmer, and her sister, Kathleen Sykes.
Family left to cherish her memory includes her sister, Elizabeth Semenkovich of Roanoke; a niece, Allison E. Walden and husband, Daniel of Charlottesville, VA; nephews, Dr. Clay F. Semenkovich and wife, Dr. Janice W. Semenkovich of St. Louis, MO, and Tom Sykes and wife Brenda of Orlando, FL, and her great-nephew, Nicholas Paul Semenkovich of St. Louis, MO.
