Ethel Morgan Mohler, 99, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. She was a longtime member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Salem and thoroughly enjoyed her hobbies as a seamstress and playing Bridge. Preceding her in death was her husband, Eugene Carroll Mohler; and brothers, Fred Morgan, Joe Morgan, and Jimmy Morgan. Her surviving family includes her daughters, Carolyn M. Conway and husband, Arthur, and Ellen M. Agner and husband, Scott; grandchildren, James F. Agner and wife, Kim, and Sally A. Vest and husband, Eric; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Abigail, and Ariel Agner as well as Jillian, Sam, and Holly Vest; sisters-in-law, Margaret Morgan and Ava Morgan; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends during visitation hours on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park. The Very Reverend R. Bradley Laycock, Jr. will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ethels name to either the St. Pauls Episcopal Church Endowment Fund at 42 East Main Street in Salem, Virginia 24153 or to the Salem Rescue Squad at 201 South Broad Street in Salem, Virginia 24153.
