Enoch Red Bradford, 84, of Salem, VA passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, July 5, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Gertrude (Dolly) Bradford; and a grandson, Christopher Bradford. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Mitchell and husband, Dennis; son, David Bradford and wife, Trish; two grandsons, Adam Mitchell and fiance, Liz Gainey and Scott Bradford; and a host of special friends and family who loved him dearly. Mr. Bradford was retired from the Roanoke County School Board, was well known as a master woodcrafter and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Thursday, July, 8, 2010 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Pastor Bobby Andrews officiating. Private interment will be held at the Bradford Family Cemetery on Bradshaw Road. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 7, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at John M. Oakey and Son.
