Elsie Joyce Eames Wheeling

Elsie Joyce Eames Wheeling, 73, of Salem, VA passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011. She was born March 1, 1938 in Franklin County, VA daughter of the late James and Josie Perdue Eames. She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Wheeling; granddaughter, Shawna Michelle; and a brother, John W. Eames. Mrs. Wheeling was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by four children, Joyce (also know as both Joy and Wee) Wheeling, Nathan Wheeling and wife, Cheryl, Johnny Wheeling and partner, Richard DeHart and Harold Wheeling and wife, Michelle; five grandchildren, Josh, Breanna, Victoria, Michael and Donald; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Brandon, Wyatt, Everett, Isis, Ellis and Alysha; one great-great-grandson, George; two brothers, Richard Eames and Bill Eames; five sisters, Joe Brown, Jean Cosner, Mary Mull, Dorothy Hicks and Bunny Prather; and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted at 6 pm Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Dave Vanderpool officiating.
