Elma Doris Crowe Elliott October 30, 1925 April 14, 2019 Born October 30, 1925 in the Lakeside Community of Roanoke County to the late C.M. and Thurza Crowe, Doris was a life-long resident of Salem. On Sunday, April 14, 2019, she was called home, and slipped peacefully away to join the much-loved friends and family who passed before. Her vibrant spirit, her love of life, and her devotion to those she loved will be greatly missed! In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert N. Elliott; brother, Kenneth A. Crowe; and two sisters, Helen Crowe Riley and Mildred Crowe Gibson. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her brother, Curtis Marvin Crowe, Jr. of Helen, Ga.; two nieces, Teresa Gibson White of St. Paul, MN, and Carolyn Riley Clifton of Faison, NC; and her nephew, Mark Gibson of Knightdale, NC. Graveside services to honor her life will be conducted on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 1 pm at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem. The Rev. Brenda Rowe will officiate.
