Elizabeth Sue Reynolds Stewart (Miss Libby), 83, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was born to the late Jimmy and Nannie Reynolds. Also preceding her in death is her husband, Joseph (Gene) Stewart; a daughter, Betty Stewart Roop; brothers, Johnnie, Willard, Fred, David and Ralph Reynolds. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Alice Marie Austin; son, Joseph LeRoy Stewart; her sisters, Christine and Clara Hartman; brothers, Carl, Roy, Richard, Dennis Reynolds; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend that has been truly supportive, Bobbi Neighbors, and her loving and special dog, Sam. Elizabeth retired from Orotho Vent Shoe, got bored and went to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and retired in 1999. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, taking fishing trips to the beach, and thoroughly enjoyed watching her squirrels play outside. Above all, she enjoyed being around her family as she has always been there for us during times of good and of bad. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
