Elizabeth Barrett Barnett

Elizabeth Barrett Barnett, 94, of Salem, Va., passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born on March 28, 1928, in McDowell County, WVa. She worked as a nurse at Richfield, and retired after over 30 years of service. She was also a member at Central United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Ernest Eugene Barnett; brothers, Robert Samuel Reed, James Lowell Reed, and David Rudolph Reed; and sister, Alice Louise Reed. Special appreciation is extended to Richfield for its wonderful care. Family members and friends may gather on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, Va. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Bryan Buckles officiating.
