Elfriede J. Smith, 89, of Salem, Va. passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, Va., with Father Ken Shuping officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
