Effie Wilhelm Clemmer, 94, of Roanoke, was called home by the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015. She was preceded by her husband, Russell Clemmer; and brothers, Roger, Everett, and Billy Wilhelm. Effie is survived by a sister, Ruth Brown of Fairfield, VA; a son, Jerry Clemmer of Boydton, VA; a daughter, Linda Rowe of Catawba, VA; and grandson, JR Wray and granddaughter Angela Wray, of Roanoke, VA. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 pm, Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, with Rev. Thomas McCracken III officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Alzheimers Association of Virgina and to Woodhaven Nursing Home in Montvale, VA.
