Edwin Merle 'Ed' Tam

Edwin Ed Merle Tam, 59, of Troutville, VA passed away Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born October 15, 1952 in South Bend, Indiana the son of Oleta Girard Tam and the late George Merlin Tam. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Tam. Ed loved the Lord and cherished his family and friends. He was a US Army Veteran, worked for San Marco of Buchanan, and was the owner and operator of Buffalo Springs, Ed Tam & Co. Custom Builder. He attended Fincastle United Methodist Church, was a member of the Friends of the Appalachian Trail in Troutville and enjoyed working on his farm in Troutville. He is survived by his mother, Oleta Girard Tam; loving wife, Linda Ott Tam; son, Alexander Alex Edwin Tam; brothers, John and Karen Tam, James and Mattie Tam and Eric and Brenda Tam; and a number of nieces, nephews and numerous friends. All those that knew him loved him and he will not be forgotten. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. John M. Oakey and Son, Salem is in charge of the arrangements. 540-389-5441
