Edward John Heindel Jr.

Dear loved ones, it is with our deepest sadness to share the passing of Edward John Heindel, Jr. on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2:16 a.m. while at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. At the age of 76, he is survived by his beautiful wife of 49 years, Pranom Heindel, who lives in Salem. His most beloved only child, Elizabeth Buday Falkinburg, and his three adult grandsons: Seth, Ian, and Trevor Falkinburg in Colorado will miss him very much. He has a very large, loving family centrally located in Wisconsin and other places around the world. We are proud to share that he served in the Air Force for 20 years in the Philippines, Thailand, Alabama, Georgia, and Virginia. After he retired he obtained a college degree in Mechanical Engineering and continued to work as a mechanic at Sears. He loved to work with his hands and fix cars or anything broken for that matter. He was a huge movie buff who enjoyed westerns, sci-fi, action, and comedies. His storytelling, jokes, friendliness, and regular attendance at local breakfast spots all over the country will be remembered. He enjoyed his family very much by connecting over food, movies, playing UNO, and just spending time together. He dearly cherished every moment with his wife, daughter, and three grandsons.
