Edith Gertrude Thrush

Edith G. Thrush, 86, of Salem, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2023. She was born to the late Thomas Bentley Kirby and Clidia Jane Loving Kirby on Monday, January 11, 1937. In addition to her parents, Edith is preceded in death by her husband, William Jacob Thrush; sisters, Willie Lephew, Louise Cadd, Marie Altice; brothers, Harry Kirby, Johnny Kirby, Thomas Kirby, Jr; sons Warren Thrush, Vernon Thrush; grandsons, Snapper Phillips, Jr., and Dougie Thrush. Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Edith Phillips, Clidia Gillespie; sons, Kenny Thrush, and William Thrush Jr.; grandchildren, Ginger Conner, Melissa Widener, John Thrush, Kim Bond, Chris Thrush, Angie Gardner, Chad Thrush, Candi Thrush, Tiffini Thrush, Brandon Thrush, Chris Duncan, Amanda Thrush, Harley Gillespie and Evan Gillespie. As well as numerous great-grandchildren. A big thank you to Mandy for always providing exceptional care.
