Edith Trivette Parker

Edith Trivette Parker, 91, of Elliston and Lafayette, went to be with the Lord with her family in attendance Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her home. Edith was a member of the New Philadelphia Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Preceding her in death was her husband of 40 years, Curtis Parker; daughter, Dana Parker Wallace; and son, Alan Hite Parker, who passed away in infancy. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra Parker Crawford and husband, Don, Mark B. Parker and wife, Donna, and Lewin Hart Parker; grandchildren, Leslie Wallace Odom, Tracy Wallace, Lauren Parker Hairr, and Travis Crawford; four step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Sarabeth Odom and Aiden Wallace; and numerous family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Lafayette United Methodist Church in Elliston, VA with Pastor Dunkum officiating. A graveside service will be held at a later date at New Philadelphia Moravian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Betty, Mary, and Crystal as well as Carilion Hospice for caring for Edith in her last days.
