Master Sergeant Earl Randolph Dixon, USMC retired, son, brother, husband, father, friend, and most importantly Pops, gained his angel wings on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at the age of 91. He was the 2nd born of 7 boys to the late Harry and Lena Dixon. He is survived by his loving wife, Jan; and his 3 brothers, Harry W. Dixon (Juanita), Richard Dixon (Betty), and Roger Dixon (Sarah). He had numerous grandchildren, and the apples of his eye were his numerous great-grandchildren. He also had many beloved nieces and nephews. Earl was an avid golfer, good enough to be a Pro. He was a true Marine and very proud to be an American that served his country for 40+ years. Pops will be missed by many. He was loved by many and he loved us all! Semper Fi, Pops. A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem with Pastor Tim York officiating.
