Dorothy King Wilburn, 90, of Salem, VA passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012. She was born September 7, 1922 in Roanoke a daughter of the late Hubert King, Sr. and Anna Smith King. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ralph Emmett Wilburn; brother, Hubert King, Jr.; and a sister, Margaret Ann Lovern.
Mrs. Wilburn was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Salem. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Woodson Woody Wilburn; son, Charles Woodson Wilburn; daughters, Karen Louise Carden and husband, Mark and Marla Jean Martin and husband, Tony; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Counselor Charlie Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Roanoke. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. 540-389-5441.
