Doris Kirk Jewell

Doris Kirk Jewell, age 97, of Lafayette, went to be with the Lord on Monday 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents Stuart and Respie Kirk; husband Gaylord Jewell; son in law Roger Perdue, sisters Lottie, Lillie, Edith, Mary, Ellen, Audrey, Grace and brother Stuart (Bud) and niece Dorothy who was like a sister. Those left to cherish her memory are; her daughter Janice Jewell Perdue; Sons, Richard Jewell (June) & Steve Jewell (Missy), all from Lafayette. Her grandchildren; Scott Perdue of Acworth, GA, Michelle Jewell Maxey of Lafayette, & Jaime Perdue Eskridge of Lafayette. Her great grandchildren; Ryan Perdue, Allen Maxey, Victoria Maxey, Ashley Maxey, Kaitlin Maxey, Emma Eskridge, Elena Eskridge, Kirk Eskridge, & Eva Eskridge. Also surviving Doris are her special friends/family; Linda Kruse, Carol Harper, Rick Kropff, Patsy Brickey, Jennifer Powell, Debbie Sumner, Carrington Sumner, Angel Perdue, Mary Lou Hawley and Matt Eskridge. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 12 1:45 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
