Doris Grimsley Anders

Doris G. Anders, 88, of Salem, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Richfield Recovery and Care Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Andy Anders, and her daughter, Patricia Anders Ruggiero (Bo Ruggiero). She is survived by her two sons, Michael Anders and Steven Anders; grandchildren David Anders, Mark Anders (Jennifer), Heather Craig (James), Steven Casey Anders, James Jimmy Anders; several great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends. Doris spent many years working in the administrative office of East Salem Elementary School before retiring with her husband to Jekyll Island GA to enjoy their shared passion of golf. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by many. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem VA. She will be laid to rest with her husband at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort SC. Service Details.
