Donna Carol Grant

Donna C. Grant, 57, of Shawsville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cecil, Maryland, a daughter of the late Donald C. Rumburg and Ann Roberts Barkley, who survives. She was a Shawsville area resident for most of her life. Donna was employed for many years as a waitress at Dixies American Grill, were she loved to interact with her customers, with whom she developed personal and caring relationships with over the years. She enjoyed sewing and quilt making. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Reid. Along with her mother, she is survived by her husband of over 34 years, Kenny S. Grant; two daughters, Lisa Grant, and Lena Grant and her husband Jacob Boone; a granddaughter, Evelyn Boone; two sisters, Cynthia and Lisa Rumburg; numerous adopted children, and many many friends. A gathering to celebrate Donna's life will be held from 5 to 8 PM, Monday, July 2, 2018 at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church 674 Alleghany Springs Rd. Shawsville, VA 24162.
