Donald Wayne Mountcastle

Donald W. Mountcastle, 72, of Salem, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. He was born in Indiana, a son of the late Russell and Thelma Palmer Mountcastle and had been an area resident for most of his life. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and then served in the National Guard for an additional 12 years. He was employed at National Pools prior to retiring. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Susan Price Mountcastle; a son, Scott Mountcastle and wife Tina; a granddaughter, Kayla Hope; his sister, Barbara Woods and husband Leonard, as well as several nieces, Nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A memorial service will be held at 7PM, Monday, September 28, 2015 at the West Side Church of Christ, 1705 Starview Dr. Salem, VA. Elder Jeff Durham will officiate.
