Dolores Jean Belcher (Dee), 67, of Salem, passed away in her sleep on Friday, September 1, 2017.
Dee was a graduate of Roanoke Catholic. She attended the Community Hospital School of Nursing and spent her entire career serving as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Mike and Estelle Harmon.
Her surviving family includes her wonderful children, James Michael and wife, Tess, Melanie and husband, Derek, and Debra Jean and husband, David; grandchildren, Jasmine, Michael, Eliana, Derek, Noah, Jeremiah, Laila, Randy, Caleb, and Sammy; siblings, Anne and husband, Gailon, Tommy and wife, Ann, and Eric and wife, Karen; many amazing nieces and nephews; special friends, Kathy and Ben, Laura, Mary, and Kathy H.; and many other extended family members and friends.
The family extends special thanks to Carilion Hospice as well as Father Paul and Father Don for loving our momma.
Family and friends may gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, also in the chapel, with Father Paul and Father Don officiating. Interment will immediately follow at St. Andrews Diocesan Cemetery in Roanoke.
