Dennis Lee Hardy

Dennis Lee Hardy, II, 57, of Salem, Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Born on January 31, 1968, in Lynchburg, Va., he is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Lee Hardy.

Denny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps right out of high school and remained a proud USMC veteran following his honorable discharge. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a skilled and avid hunter. Denny was a huge football fan and cheered the loudest for his Dallas Cowboys. Sunny days were his favorite and he always found a reason to get out in the sunshine. He was known for his work ethic and loyal service to the City of Salem Water Department. Above all, he adored his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Zane Hardy; daughter, Stephanie Hardy and granddaughter, Delilah; daughter, Sarah Hardy and grandchildren, Adalynn and Braylon; partner, Angie Bryant and her daughter Brittany and grandson, Jay and her sons, Dustin and Corey; brother, Stephen, as well as many friends throughout the community.

The family will welcome friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, February 27. 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. A Celebration of Life service, with military honors will begin at. 6:00 p.m., with Chaplain Dave Vanderpool officiating.
