Dennis Michael Gardner Jr. 54, of Salem, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 5th, 2022. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia he was the son of Dennis Gardner, Sr., and Pamela Vandall Gardner. Dennis was a die-hard Steelers Fan Here we go, Steelers! When he was not cheering his favorite Black and Yellow Football Team, you could find him on the golf course hitting some balls on the Green. Dennis served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and June Vandall; and paternal grandmother, June Gardner. Survivors include his parents, Dennis Mike Gardner, Sr., Pamela Pam Rae Vandall; wife, Penny Jo Gardner; children, Meghan Dennis and husband, Allen, Kaitlyn Kuhn and husband, Karl, Elizabeth Gardner, Michael Gardner; siblings, Michele Leclerc and husband, Phillip; grandchildren, Madison, Cody, and Mackenzie Dennis, Riley, and Parker Kuhn. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. -- 12:00 p.m. at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, in Salem.
